I have a vibrant, energetic personality with a positive strength-based approach. I like to work collaboratively with clients to help achieve their goals. I want to help guide clients to adapt their life skills to reach goals and increase their success in life.
I am currently pursuing licensure in psychology and is a Registered Provisional Psychologist, practicing under guidance of Richard Anton, as per the College of Alberta Psychologists. I have a Masters in Science for Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Science Psychology and Biology.
I have a great number of experience that includes two years of working as a family and youth counselor in residential treatment facilities in Red Deer, Alberta. These centres are for youth aged 11-18 who have a number of behavioral, mental health and addiction issues.
I have also worked with street youth in a Street Ties program, supervising youth who utilize the services provided in a walk in centre.
I have also worked at a Detox Centre PChAD (Protecting Children Against Drugs) for children under 18 and also with AADAC counselors .
I am also currently working as a youth group program coordinator for the Schizophrenia Society, coordinating the group, activities, education and life skills for youth 16-30 years of age.
